Hi Everyone!  I'm Ms. Golden-- Notus 6th grade Elementary Teacher.   I began my journey here at Notus in 2004 and have taught fourth & sixth grade, and also teach Driver's Ed.  Teaching and continously learning is my life!  I embrace new adventures and try to accept every event in life as an opportunity to learn.  My motto:  Be better than you were yesterday!   

Inside the classroom, you'll see my students and I interacting with fun, exciting, and challenging activities.  I encourage the use of high-level vocabulary in our verbal and written language.  We read A LOT and discuss related topics and make connections often. We embrace and welcome diversity of cultures-- we have so much to learn from each other! AND, we integrate the arts into our assignments as much as possible.     

 Outside of class, you can usually find me outdoors.  I enjoy camping & hiking, especially in the SawTooth Mountains, and I have just learned how to paddleboard.  I am a mom of 2, stepmom of 5, and Nana of 4.  Family is of HUGE importance to me!
